Animal Shelter & Rescue Law Symposium

Mark your calendars for October 13 if you are interested in learning more about the laws that apply to animal shelters and non-profit animal rescues.  The ABA's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section's Animal Law Committee Committee is holding a symposium at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville.  The conference features a number of talented speakers who will cover a wide range of topics including:


  • Liability Issues Related to Sheltering, Rescuing, and Adopting Animals
  • Managing Donations and Estate Planning Issues
  • Employment and Labor Law Considerations
  • Dog Breed Identification: Visual v. DNA
  • Duties and Responsibilities of Members of the Board of Directors of a Shelter or Rescue
  • Lobbying for Non-Profits
General Admission is only $50 and lawyers wanting CLE credit can attend and receive credit for $100.
