ESA Part II: Lawsuit seeks endangered species status for wolverines

In addition to the decision out of the DC district court (see prior post) on gray wolves, the Miami Herald also reported this past week on a lawsuit challenging the administration's failure to place wolverines on the endangered species list. The suit was brought by Earthjustice and filed on behalf of Defenders of Wildlife, Center for Biological Diversity, Conservation Northwest, Friends of the Clearwater, Greater Yellowstone Coalition, Idaho Conservation League, Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance, Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center and Wyoming Outdoor Council. A copy of the lawsuit is available from Defender's of Wildlife here. Read their press release here.
