Palm Beach County approves tougher rules on pet owners, breeders; Volusia considers similar rules
The Palm Beach Post reports that the county has approved the proposed ordinances that require pet owners who have not spayed or neutered their dogs and cats to pay higher licensing fees and force hobby breeders to obtain a permit. The story notes that over 84,000 animals have been euthanized at Palm Beach County's animal shelter since 2000. Meanwhile, the Daytona Beach News Journal reports here that Volusia County officials are considering similar rules.
