Judge denies motion to seal dog-killer’s record
The Naples Daily News reports here that a judge has denied a woman's attempt to have her record sealed. The woman pleaded no contest to animal cruelty in March of 2005 after shooting a neighbor's chihuahua with a shotgun. According to the article, the Assistant State Attorney arguing the case vehemently objected to sealing the record, stating “[t]his was a dispute between two neighbors by one neighbor who didn’t like the other neighbor for whatever reason and she took it to the extreme." The judge denied the motion, but said it could be argued again.
