Dolphin dies near sonar exercises

Via How Appealing's post here, the Los Angeles Times reported that a deep water dolphin was found near where the Navy had conducted sonar tests. The story was also covered here by the San Jose Mercury News. It was too early to determine the cause of death, but experts have not ruled out the sonar training, which is at the center of a federal court case. Late last month, the Bush Administration tried to intervene by granting the Navy a waiver. See my last few posts on the unfolding legal drama here and here.
