Conviction Upheld in Rare Bird Import Case

Law.com has a report on a recent Second Circuit opinion involving a conviction and sentence under the Wild Bird Conservation Act. The story notes that it may be the first criminal prosecution under the Act. The birds at issue in the case were black sparrowhawks that the defendant was attempting to import into the country.
